  • Provide a scoping report from which a detailed brief can be prepared and agreed to ensure only targeted necessary work is undertaken
  • Evaluate and comment on specific or general allegations regarding causation relevant to alleged building or design defects claimed to have resulted in building defects and / or physical damage
  • Investigate the circumstances and establish the chronology of events
  • Prepare and / or evaluate document trails
  • Establish contractual chains, obtain and evaluate contract documents relevant to the design and workmanship requirements
  • Evaluate plans, consents (Resource and Building) and TA submissions and the processes surrounding each
  • Evaluate or create a scope of works and specification for remedial works, separating elements of remedial works by cause of damage (including evaluation of overlapping causes)
  • Evaluate or prepare estimated costs for remedial works
  • Evaluate and quantify improvements and betterment
  • Monitor reinstatement or remedial works, as required
  • Provide litigation and / or mediation support, full reporting and expert evidence on the above, as required
  • Identify other potentially liable or contributing parties, including other insurers
  • Attend any mediation or trial to provide evidence
